Author Links
- Barry Nugent - Fallen Heroes is Barry's first novel, available online and from selected Waterstones branches in the UK. The book is well worth checking out - particularly if you like modern day thiefs, Indiana Jones, secret government organisations, demons and history-spanning plots.
- Bernard Cornwell - Author of the Sharpe series of Napoleonic action novels amongst many other fine historical adventures. I particularly liked the Grail Quest trilogy which focusses on an English archer through campaigns agains the French.
- Karen Traviss - I've only read her Star Wars novels but those are definitely some of the strongest from that entire range. Karen writes small-team combat stunningly well and her knowledge of the military and special forces shines her writing seems as authentic as Chris Ryan (Ex SAS man and great author!) to me. I now notice she has written a Gears of War novels too. Hmm ...
- R. A. Salvatore - Author of some fine fantasy adventures. No-one choreographs a fight quite like this author. Many of his novels are set in the Forgotten Realms setting, however he also has written novels set within his own worlds. Highly recommended is The Highwayman.
- Terry Pratchett - Author of the fantastic fantasy-comedy Discworld series of novels amongsto others. I have been an avid reader since I was twelve and his books always offer thoughtful insights into our own history or current events.
